I Chart the Future

This year for Christmas, I wanted to make something for my dad. I came across a shirt my dad made for his company, Twin Media, years ago when I was very young. I felt this would be a great base for a project. I decided that I wanted it to show a connection to his new company, Pencil Pixels.

I began by embroidering a pencil near the chart. Then I also embroidered part of the graph's reflection.

Then, I added the quilling. I made dozens of pixels out of quilling paper. I started with a color close to that of the shirt, then worked my way to white with one additional color in between.

My dad was happy with how it came out and it now has a place in his new home office. My parents had just completed a move before the holidays and it has become clear that they have more of an abundance of artwork than I had realized. I will have to come up with something that takes up less space next time! :)
